ABSTRACT
The article discusses the process of downsizing diesel and gasoline engines which is alleged to be the most cost-effective ways of improving fuel efficiency for the automobile industry of Great Britain. It says that the process of downsizing favors original equipment manufacturers as it helps them achieve the required carbon dioxide target. Howevere, Dirk Borrmann of Ford claims that drivability and cabin heating are a few factors that must be considered first before actualizing the process.
