The article discusses the launching of caller identifications (IDs) on television applications for cable operators and customers of converged services in the U.S. in 2008. It mentions that Cox Communications Inc. and Comcast Cable Communications Inc. launched caller ID on television services while Vidéotron and Liberty Global-owned video tape recorder (VTR) followed by using Integra5's platform. It adds that some service providers have deployed caller ID on personal computers (PCs).
