A simple, robust, and efficient method to produce either radially or azimuthally polarized output beam from a fiber laser is presented. Experimental results reveal that polarization purity of 90% or better can be obtained.

Some gage-equivalent forms (including new ones) of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for a hydrogenlike atom in a nonstationary electric field of a laser pulse are presented. These forms allow one to develop a perturbation theory for both small and rather large intensities of the...

In this paper, the effect of troidal magnetic field is studied in standard self-gravitating thin disks with β priscription. By applying the magnetic field, we expect to see different behaviors compared to a non-magnetic field case. The study reveals self-similar solutions for radial infall...

Laser-induced acceleration of an electron injected initially at an angle to the direction of a circularly polarized laser pulse in the presence of an obliquely incident magnetic field has been investigated. For a suitable position of the peak of the laser pulse, the external magnetic field...

The confinement of laser generated plasmas by a magnetic field is exploited to analyze the properties of plasmas of different materials. The ablation threshold is approximately proportional to Cv(Tmelt-300) (Tmelt=melting temperature, Cv=specific heat). The ablation rate is related to the...

We describe the apparatus of a dark-line two-dimensional (2D) magneto-optical trap (MOT) of 85Rb cold atoms with high optical depth (OD). Different from the conventional configuration, two (of three) pairs of trapping laser beams in our 2D MOT setup do not follow the symmetry axes of the...
