ABSTRACT
The article discusses how U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt avoided U.S. President Herbert Hoover's attempts to link him with the U.S. Great Depression, and offers advice to U.S. Barack Obama on how to follow his example. The author suggests that Obama could follow Roosevelt's strategy of waiting until his inauguration to act in order to not be linked with a financial crisis. Discussed is how Roosevelt used the radio, and how Obama will use the Internet, to communicate plans.
