ABSTRACT
The article reports updates on the bedding industry in the U.S. Some companies in the industry attained considerable growth in sales from .5% to 20.6%, while others experience significant decline due to the global financial crisis. Sealy Corp. remains the industry leader with wholesale shipments of $1.4 billion, followed by Simmons Bedding Co. with $1.1 billion. According to the International Sleep Products Association, the top bedding producers gained share on the rest of the industry.
