ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Tokyo, Japan-based Otto Corp. to commission Uhde to provide comprehensive engineering and supply services within the scope of two plant contracts received from JFE Steel Corp. and MCC Mitsubishi Corp. in 2008. Uhde will provide engineering and supply of special equipment, among others, for the JFE contract which covers the construction of a coke over battery. The MCC contract consists of major hot repair work on coke ovens. Uhde is part of the ThyssenKrupp Group.
