ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs in the U.S. Virgin Islands. A deficit of US$66 million in operation cash flow during fiscal year 2008 was reported by the officials of the U.S. Virgin Islands Government Employees Retirement System (GERS). On October 31, 2008, the U.S. Airways made an announcement with regard to the return of non-stop flights to St. Thomas from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina.
