ABSTRACT
The article discusses motion pictures by filmmaker Giovanna Chesler. The author notes Chesler's education at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and discusses how "BeauteouS: The Trilogy," a series of student films Chesler directed, conveys concepts of feminine beauty. Chesler's documentary film "Period: The End of Menstruation" focuses on medical suppression of menstruation.
