ABSTRACT
The article discusses the requirements in academic research to document research data and statistical analyses. Among these requirements include defining all variables in the data set, and documenting all corrections of erroneous data, all modifications of original variables and all statistical analyses conducted. It also recommends using major statistical software packages and using professional data entry program to reduce errors. Data cleaning and archiving are also required.
