The article discusses the transformation of the Las Vegas Convention Center with the opening of the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) in Nevada. The CCFD or Fire Station 33 has four bays for fire trucks and will be equipped to handle chemical, biological and radiological hazards. It is on Desert Inn Road and is part of a long-term $890 million program to renovate the convention center. The LVCVA is leasing the land to the fire department for only $1 per year.
