ABSTRACT
The article discusses findings of a study on the link between sneezing and the type of anesthesia and the depth of sedation, as presented by Ana M. Susana at the 2008 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting. Researchers found strong associations with the history of photic sneezing, which increased relative risk by 2.2, and midazolam, which increased relative risk by 2.3, whereas alfentanil reduced the risk and seemed to be protective.
