ABSTRACT
The article discusses results of a clinical trial on the effectiveness of bevacizumab injections before vitrectomy surgery in reducing the risk of hemorrage, as presented by Ramin Monshizadeh at the 2008 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting. The study looked at 68 eyes of 68 patients undergoing pars plana vitrectomy and photocoagulation for proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
