ABSTRACT
The article elaborates on the financial performance of various metal service centers in the U.S. Metals USA posted a significant increase in its net sales and earnings during the third quarter of 2008. Allegheny Technologies Inc. reported a net income worth $144.1 million for the third quarter of 2008 and a sales of $1.39 billion. Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. reported a third quarter net incomie of $152.5 million, manifesting an increase of 63% compared with that of 2007.
