Amid the economic turbulence encountered by its neighbouring countries in the South, Canadians involved in metal industry are hopeful that the country will weather the global financial crises without a significant downturn. According to Pedro Antunes, the country is already living almost in recession and experienced negative quarter of growth and very weak gross domestic products (GDP).
