ABSTRACT
The article reports on the approval of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA) Standard 300-08 by the Board Review of the ANSI on April 18, 2008. The standard entitled Reverberant Room Method for Sound Testing of Fans determines the octave band sound power levels of a fan. Moreover, the standard applies to fans of all types and sizes, but limited to the determination of airborne sound emission for the specified setups.
