ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decline in sales of mattress in the U.S. in September 2008. According to a report on industry performance released by the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA), unit sales were down 16.8% from the same month in 2007 and the dollar value of shipments dropped 11%. Details of ISPA's third-quarter performance report for innerspring and specialty mattresses are provided.
