ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Boscov's Department Store LLC to sign an agreement to sell the company to members of its founding family, led by former chairman Albert Boscov and former president Edwin Lakin, in the U.S.. The company has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since August 2008. The agreement must be approved by a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge. It will replace a previous buyout agreement made with private equity firm Versa Capital Management.
