The article reports that New York-based compensation consulting firm Steven Hall & Partner has estimated the net worth of Las Vegas Sands Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sheldon Adelson to have declined by more than $16.6 billion in 2008. Forbes magazine stated that the decline is the largest amount of any major CEO, which placed him 15th place from the third-richest person in the U.S. The sources of Adelson's personal wealth are highlighted.
