ABSTRACT
The article reports that the city government of Las Vegas, Nevada has sent out the request for proposals for the redevelopment of the Cashman Center site and building of a new minor-league baseball stadium. While the decision could also save millions in operating costs for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, private developers are reluctant to invest in a Class AAA ballpark. The statement of Steve Van Gorp, deputy director of the city's office of business development, about the ballpark is presented.
