ABSTRACT
The article reports that Intel Corp. is to reduce Moorestown platform idle power by more than 10x compared to the first-generation mobile Internet devices (MIDs) based on the Atom processor. It states that Anand Chandrasekher, Intel's senior vice president, discusses Moorestown's application in the emerging MID market segment. It adds that Moorestown will support a range of wireless technologies including 3G, WiMax, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and mobile TV technologies.
