The article focuses on Gary Beikirch, a Medal of Honor recipient and former Special Forces medic in Vietnam and his return to Fort Bragg, North Carolina to take part in a ceremony celebrating the 40th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Chapel. The visit brought back memories of Beikirch's life before and after the Vietnam war. Beikirch also narrated his realization on the importance of Medal of Honor as a symbol of sacrifice and as an honor to God.
