ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a new law in Quebec, that requires a full set of winter tires on all passenger vehicles and taxis. It is stated that this may lead to spot shortages of snow tires in the province. Starting from December 15, 2008, motorists in Quebec who don't put four winter tires on their cars or sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and keep them there until March 15, 2009, will be fined $200 to $300.
