ABSTRACT
The article reports on the political and economic risk of Vietnam. President Nguyen Minh Triet visited Russia to oversee the signing of a series of economic agreements with his counterpart Dimitri Medvedev. Moreover, it shows that the country's consumer price inflation fell 0.19% month-on-month in October 2008 due to lower food and foodstuff prices, while various businesses are reluctant to borrow because they expect inflation and lending rates to fall in the coming months.
