ABSTRACT
The article discusses the issue of alleged trade dress infringement among brand labels. Accordingly, brands which are copying patents can get legal consequences upon doing so, since imitating an original intellectual property is said to take away the competitive advantage of a product from others. Lloyd J. Jassin, private publishing lawyer, suggested that it is better for companies to meet with marketing staff and designers before launching a new product to avoid such disputes.
