ABSTRACT
The article reports about the payment of Staten Island University Hospital to the U.S. government of about $75 million due to civil fraud. The New York City-based hospital has agreed to pay the government to settle claims that the hospital defrauded Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE. The hospital will also pay the State of New York $14,883,883 representing damages sustained by the state's Medicaid program.
