The article reports on the claim by Good Homes Alliance, a group of housing developers and building professionals, that the Code for Sustainable Homes will not cut water consumption. The group said the code would drive developers to install impractical fittings, which householders would replace. The alliance said the code, which assesses the household as a whole, should be replaced with performance standards for individual appliances.
