The article comments on the 2008 AES Convention in October 2008 and its implications for sound recording and mixing in the U.S. It includes an in-depth analysis of the continued coexistence between magnetic tape technology and silicon semiconductors in sound recording, as well as the efforts of the recording community to strengthen alliances with schools.
