ABSTRACT
The article reports on the conviction of political fixer Antoin Rezko in June 2008 on 16 charges of mail fraud, wire fraud, attempted extortion and money laundering in a political corruption lawsuit in Chicago, Illinois. He owes the Bellagio, Caesars Palace and Bally's approximately $800,000 for unpaid gambling debts between February 2006 and January 2007. According to Clark County District Attorney David Roger, casinos and local authorities will have to wait until the completion of legal proceedings before taking legal action.
