ABSTRACT
The article discusses the cinematic sex education in Sweden in the 21st century. It states that Sweden is the first country which mandates compulsory sex education in schools. It also states that the proliferation of sex education films boomed during the sexuality upheaval in the 1960s. It examines sex education conveyed in the 2004 movie "Kärlekens Språk, which is a sequel of the film "Language of Love/Ur kärlekens språk," in 1969 in terms of sexuality and reflexivity. It notes that sex education film has earned criticisms from Swedish newspapers.
