ABSTRACT
The article announces the plan of building another wind plant by Siemens Energy & Automation Inc. in the U.S. In an effort to answer the demand for renewable energy sources, Siemens is allocating US$20 million to build a wind plant in Elgin, Illinois. Anne Cooney, vice president of power conversion division at Siemens, stated that the company is committed to creating technologies that are energy efficient. Production of gear drives for wind-driven turbines and creation of 350 new jobs are mentioned.
