Lienholders' battle over deed could affect future cases

September 2008
Las Vegas Business Press (10712186);9/29/2008, Vol. 25 Issue 39, p16
The article focuses on the court battle between lienholders of the bankrupt Onyx Condominiums. The outcome of the fight between chief lender Marshall Investments Corp. and the project's general contractor Summit Builders may cause businesses to rethink the way they position liens. The lender is fighting claims by the contractor that it is first to be paid from the sale of the development. Although Marshall has won in District Court, Summit has appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court.
