ABSTRACT
The article announces the official opening of a £9 million, three-unit wave power project in Portugal. The project, comprising three wave devices installed by Pelamis Wave Power, has got funding from Babcock & Brown, Energias de Portugal (EDP) and industrial manufacturer Efacec. Pelamis owns the remainder. The project, at Aguadoura, is the first of a series to be undertaken by the partnership.
