Gazprom plans gas storage auctions

The article reports on the plan of Gazprom to start auctioning capacity at its underground natural gas store in Haidach, Austria. The Russian gas company said it would offer all the existing capacity at the site, known as Level One and totalling 800 million cubic metres (mcm), transparently and without discrimination to interested third parties. A further 800mcm of Level Two capacity will also be on offer. Gazprom said it would be available after surface storage at the site was expanded.
