ABSTRACT
The article reports on the impact of the U.S. economic turmoil on Pernod Ricard USA's spirit brands. Pernod chief executive in the Paul Duffy confirmed that some drinks brands had suffered a decline in the on-trade which reflected a shift in the off-trade. The company said that the premium and ultra-premium drinks continue to sell well in the U.S. The company also confirmed that it will not make any acquisitions for three years.
