ABSTRACT
The article cites a report which reveals the cutting back on the number of hours allocated to employees at Dunnes Stores in Ireland. It is stated that the trade union Mandate has hit out at Dunnes for reducing the number of employees by 50%, which led to less than a social welfare payment. Moreover, this Mandate claimed that Dunnes is refusing to accommodate the employees by allocating the reduced hours into three days or less.
