ABSTRACT
The article reports on the advancement of the borrowing plans of the Illinois Finance Authority which total nearly $1.5 billion, including a $375 million sale planned by Rush University Medical Center and $500 million for the University of Chicago. The university received final approval to proceed with its deal to finance the second phase of a 12-year reconstruction and renovation of its campus which include a new residence hall and dining facility and renovation of chemistry laboratory.
