ABSTRACT
The article discusses the issues concerning the commercial processing workload (CPW)-fed rectangle-trapezoid-rectangle shaped monopole antenna for ultra-wideband (UWB) systems. UWB technology has been widely used in various wireless communications applications and has attracted much attention for communications systems. It states that UWB is suitable for high-speed wireless communications within wireless personal area network (WPAN). It emphasizes that the size of the antenna of UWB platform for portable devices is a critical issue because of its effects in wide impedance bandwidth.
