ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has reserved a $6 million endowment for the Fire Protection Research Foundation. According to NFPA President James M. Shannon, the work of the foundation has resulted in significant improvement in fire and life safety. In connection, Fire Protection Research Foundation plans and communicates consortium-funded research on a broad range of fire-safety issues in collaboration with laboratories and scientists.
