ABSTRACT
The article presents a conversation between the author and Thomas Hampson. It explores on the topic about the accomplishments of Hampson in opera recordings, lieder recordings, American songs recordings as well duet recordings and his involvement in many areas of the operatic world and him being a singer which he preferred to be called. Moreover, it cites on the purpose of Hampson in singing which he points on discovering himself gifted with such talent and interest as he gone through illness, thus, he pondered on enjoying life when being employed with what is being wanted to do.
