ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of ArtCraft Furniture to cease operations the U.S. The company, a marketing arm of Chinese case goods manufacturer Ningbo Art Furniture, specialized in diningsets, occasional and home office. According to Steve Eisler, vice president of the U.S. operation, the reasons for closing are that an investor in the company had backed out and business conditions in Asia had forced Ningbo Art Furniture to shut down a portion of its factory and lay off some workers.
