The article reports on the impact of the takeover of First National Bank of Nevada by federal regulators in July 2008 on the financing of Aliante Station resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. It states that Thomas Friel, chief financial officer at gaming company Station Casinos, told gaming regulators that First National was part of a syndicate of banks helping finance the resort project, wherein it has committed $35 million. It notes that the bank was seized by federal regulators after funding $15 million, while the remaining $20 million was put on hold.
