ABSTRACT
The article reports on the status of the retail sector of commercial real estate in Las Vegas, Nevada, as of October 2008. According to a third-quarter retail market report from Applied Analysis, the sector continues to be affected by the economic crisis, deteriorating housing market and low consumer confidence levels. Retail employment, which posted a gain of 4,500 positions during the quarter, increased by 2.6 percent from 2007. It also talks about the performance of grocery trade.
