ABSTRACT
The article focuses on an article about a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder published in the May 26, 2008 issue of the "Newsweek" periodical. It relates that the boy has already been on 38 different psychoactive drugs and leaves suicide notes for his family. It cites that an Information for Healthcare Professionals warning about suicidality caused by antiepileptic drugs has been issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to the periodical, about 800,000 children in the country have been diagnosed as bipolar.
