ABSTRACT
The article reports on the European Parliament's adoption of a regulation proposed by the European Commission, which concerns the utilization of protection systems in vehicles in June 2008. This aims for the reduction of the number and severity of injuries to pedestrian and other vulnerable road users hit by those vehicles The regulation reverses current legislation and directive related to such issue in all member states of the European Union.
