ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of furniture industry Berkline to establish stocking centers on the East and West coasts in the U.S. to decrease dealer costs and reduce delivery time on best-selling frames. According to Bruce Sinning, vice president of merchandising, the stocking program meets dealers' needs by putting the best-selling items in locations that allow the company to serve the entire country more quickly.
