Documentation initiative increases case mix index

The article reports on the clinical documentation improvement program at the Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, North Carolina. It mentions that the program resulted in the increase of 6.43 percent of the case mix index and a 7.5 percent increase in illness severity.
