ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Farmers Insurance Group Inc. to stop writing homeowners insurance in North Carolina beginning September 15, 2008. The insurance company risks paying out about double what it collects in premium in the state. It will begin to not renew existing policies starting December 1, 2008.
