ABSTRACT
The article reports on the analysis of the International Iron and Steel Institute in Brussels, Belgium that the world crude steel production increase up to 5.6 percent in 2008. According to the International Iron and Steel Institute that crude steel production for the 66 countries total to 112.2 million tons in August, a 2.9 percent higher than in previous year. It also illustrates that the world steel production in 2008 totaled to 926.3 million tons higher over the same period in 2007.
