ABSTRACT
The metabolic experiment was conducted to analyze the effect of manocalcium phosphate on calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) availability in broiler chickens. Broiler chickens in control group (Group 1) were assigned to a diet supplemented with 1.4% of monocalcium phosphate (0.44 % of available P (aP); Ca:P ratio - 2:1), while the chickens in 3 remaining experimental groups (Groups 2, 3 and 4) were given a diets supplemented with 0.6%, 1.6% and 2.6% of monocalcium phosphate, respectively, aP comprised 0.4%, 0.6% and 0.8 % and Ca:P ratio was 2.3:1; 1.5:1 and 1.2:1. The results showed that the highest ileal P and Ca availability (P-65- 66 %; Ca - 48.0 %) was for Ca and P ratio of 2-2.4:1, and amount of aP - 0.4-0.44%, when concentration of vitamine D3 in the feed comprised 2660 IU.
