ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the provisions of the Pennsylvania Clean Indoor Air Act enacted by Governor Ed Rendell, for corporations. It mandates employers to post signs "Smoking," "No Smoking" or the universal No Smoking symbol and does not require employers to designate their entire premises as smoke-free. It prohibits employers from refusing to hire, terminate or discriminate a worker for exercising his or her right to a smoke-free environment. Some of its exemptions are hotel guest rooms, service truck stops, private clubs and bars.
